Medium rigid materials (1.5 – 3 mm) are dimensionally stable materials with moderate thickness and structural stiffness that require precise, controlled cutting to prevent edge damage, cracking, deformation, or material stress during processing.
For optimal performance, DLC-coated blades and tungsten carbide cutting tools are highly recommended. DLC coating reduces friction, minimizes adhesive buildup, and improves wear resistance when processing rigid plastics and coated materials.
