The XK-SR140RC is a premium slotted double edge industrial razor blade manufactured from micro-grain tungsten carbide (88% tungsten carbide / 12% cobalt) for demanding industrial cutting applications.
Measuring 57 × 18.8 × 0.40 mm, the blade combines outstanding wear resistance with maximum rigidity, making it ideal for continuous slitting and converting operations involving films, foils, paper, textiles, rubber, laminates and technical materials.
Unlike conventional square-corner blades, the XK-SR140RC features precision-rounded corners that improve operator safety during blade changes, reduce the risk of accidental cuts, minimize corner chipping during handling, and allow smoother insertion into blade holders. The rounded corners also reduce the likelihood of scratching guide rollers or adjacent machine components.
The precision-ground double cutting edges provide clean, burr-free cuts while allowing both cutting edges to be used, maximizing blade life and lowering operating costs.
In the United States and Canada, this blade geometry is also widely known as a round corner carpet blade. It fits many professional carpet knives used by flooring installers. Rounded corner carpet blades are preferred by many installers because the rounded corners glide more smoothly over the subfloor, reducing drag while helping prevent accidental gouging of the floor surface.
