Description

The XK-SR1400TIN is a premium slotted industrial razor blade manufactured from micro-grain tungsten carbide (88% tungsten carbide / 12% cobalt) and enhanced with a durable Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating for maximum performance in demanding industrial cutting applications.

Measuring 57 × 18.8 × 0.40 mm, this blade offers exceptional rigidity, excellent dimensional stability, and outstanding cutting precision. The slotted mounting design ensures accurate positioning and secure clamping in industrial slitter-rewinder systems, providing reliable performance even during continuous high-speed production.

The gold-colored TiN coating significantly increases surface hardness, improves wear resistance, and reduces friction between the blade and the material being processed. This allows the blade to maintain a sharp cutting edge for longer, resulting in fewer blade changes, reduced downtime, and lower production costs when processing abrasive materials. TiN coatings are particularly effective in slitting laminates, films, foils, coated papers, and technical textiles where edge wear is a major concern.

The precision-ground double cutting edges provide clean, burr-free cuts while allowing both edges to be used, maximizing blade utilization and extending service life.

In the United States and Canada, this blade format is also commonly known as a carpet blade because it fits many professional carpet knives used by flooring installers. The tungsten carbide construction provides substantially longer service life than conventional steel carpet blades.
